This butter dish is quite large and can easily accommodate a 500 g butter block. With all the baking and buttering of bread in my home, it's perfect for me. The dish has a heavy lid and tray, giving it an old-fashioned tableware feel. Being ceramic, it retains the fridge's temperature for longer, making it convenient to have out on hot days.It's also easy to clean, but it does take up a bit too much space due to its size, so I recommend checking if this size is right for you.I choose the white dish, and the embossed writing of "BUTTER" on the lid is not very visible, which is a bonus for me. I'm glad I didn't order the black version, as the wording on it is too big and stands out too much.Overall, I am happy with this well-sized butter dish.

This feels like a good old-fashioned butter dish - love that it is sturdy, a simple design but looks good and does the job perfectly. It is quite large - more than big enough for a normal block of butter - but looks good on the side in my kitchen so am very pleased with it.

What's not to like? This is a simple ceramic butter dish with a classic design, vintage type that says 'BUTTER' on it, and a nice little handle at the top. It's sturdy! It also cleans easily, and it certainly beats having your stick of butter lying around the fridge in its fraying wrapper. I don't actually eat butter all that often, but I keep some on hand for when I get to baking, so I'm excited to have a proper dish to store it in. There are cuter designs out there, but you probably can't go wrong with a classic.

I'm really happy with this butter dish it's really spacious and bigger than I thought it would be which is great. I love you ve the design of it it will look amazing in my new kitchen. It's really good quality too I hoping this will last me a long time. For the price you absolutely cannot go wrong. Great value for money thanks!

Let's talk about the good points first. It's a butter dish, it does the job. The porcelain is thick and feels strong.Now let's talk about everything else...It's not matt as in the pictures. It's shiny black.It's way too big, it should snugly fit a block of butter, this thing is too long, too wide and too tall. Some people may find this a bonus, but I just want my butter dish to be the right size so I can tuck it in my bread bin, without taking up too much space.Worse of all, the word 'BUTTER' on the front is off centre. This bugs me. A LOT. It bugs me even more knowing the dish is £18.99 (at the time of this review).
