Wanted to try punch needling and thought a kit would be the best way to start.ProsSimple, easy instructionsGood quality productPlenty of yarn to complete projectCanvas decent size, wasn't a struggle to fit into hoopLooks great finishedConsA wooden, rather than plastic frame would have been nicer (me being fussy)The cats head and face were very small and hard to get correct, due to details required and size of yarn and needlesPunch needling is harder than videos make it look, pulling the yarn out accidentally is very easy - including sections you have previously finished.I'm not sure how durable it is completedThese last cons are more down to personal experience and preference. I bought a few kits of both punch needling and traditional embroidery for myself and my 10 year old daughter. My daughter enjoyed the speed and ease of following the pattern of punch needling. Personally, I'll stick with traditional embroidery.
