Intitial review :5/5 for looks/details1/5 for vending machine, they are made of 3 stikers around a transparent piece of plastic, could have been better.adding lights :1/5 for lights , the additional pack of light is not an issue, issues are :-when you detach 2 platform , sometime the internal electric rail come with it, it's a pain to put it back (it doesn't slide smoothly )-if you move a platform juste a little (before trying to fix it, it was sensible to wind...) the light turn off or blink, it seems that the connection between lower internal rail and upper rail (the one with led) is made by some kind of flexible metal wich generate bad contact point. To reduce this issueI twisted them a little more inwards.I think it might have been better and less expensive to use a led strip

Have not yet assembled it yet. It has the placement all set up for LED lights, you will need to order the LEDs separate (23-000) and also a KATO power cable track jointer connector (As of now hard find but I bet you could use the N scale Atlas ones). My big disappointment is that the instructions are in Japanese no English translation like with many of their other things. I called Kato USA, and they don't have an English translation of instructions not even a PDF to download. That just doesn't seem like them. They are 99% of the time very nice and helpful. BUT it is the high quality they make so I'm sure I can figure it out. If you're thinking about buying one, I suggest, go ahead just be patient when assembling I'm sure many of you can work it out.

The prebuilt sections themselves are fine but the stickers and instructions themselves are shameful. Having built the best kits the world has to offer, Bandai Gunpla and Tamiya, the instructions and stickers are pure 80s level at best. The sticker sheets are all one single sheet, cut each tiny one out individually with your Exacto. All legitimate modeling companies stopped that in the early 2000s.The instructions: When a 1000+ part PG Gundam kit in pure Japanese is easier to assemble than your single page fold out minimalist "assembly guide", your company has problems. This is the first Kato product I've ever purchased that is a total embarrassment to the quality standards they normally produce.
