Bought this for when I need to cook soup for 2 people quickly (I've a single serving soup-maker for just me), especially when my son comes to visit.I've used this at least once a week since buying in March (it's now April), and find it easy to use, infact the only 2 niggles I have are:1. There are no recipes in the booklet. So I've had to hunt some down on the Internet and hope for the best. Don't need loads, just one for smooth, one for chunky, and one for smoothies. Just so we have a better idea of amounts as some conversions aren't working for me. (I'm new to soup making and not the best at maths nor converting recipes it seems). Which leads me to my 2nd niggle.2. Even though I have enough stock to be over the minimum level my soup tastes watery. I made one with 800mls stock and tasted even more watery. Then have a lot os leftover stock. I'm probably not using enough ingredients. This is were a recipe or 3 tailored to your soup maker would be very handy.Even with these niggles I'm loving the machine as I can put together a meal within 25 mins (Chunky) for my son and myself. Just grab some veggies from the freezer (I use 1 individual steam bag as they are already small) or fridge, some cooked meat, and make some hot stock. Put into soup maker, put lid on and choose setting. While it's cooking I'll get the sides ready for when soup is cooked. While we're eating, the soup maker is in clean mode and is quite - until the blade spins. Even after a month it still makes us jump when it suddenly makes that load noise. We'll probably get used to it - eventually. So it's easy to use (if you can know a recipe that works in this size maker), makes a quick nutritious soup, and is self-cleaned in 4 minutes.Would I recommend this to others? Yes. Infact I've suggested to my son that he gets one. Then he can have a couple of meals made for the week ready in the fridge (He doesn't have a freezercso can't freeze unfortunately).
