I have a very tall tiller RIB and mooring is always a drag. The hook is perfect for snagging rings and one person unmooring. It is large enough for any cleat or ring. You need one of the black ballend gaffs/sticks to unlock. You have to be firm with it and it will open and slide cleanly off. Practice a little as it can seem sticky at the fully closed position.

Just a brief review - I really, really like this product. The build quality is very good, but not as polished as it should be for the price point. It’s heavy, but with that weight brings confidence in it’s strength. Beware being overly enthusiastic with your pole length as you’ll be feeling your forearms burning unless your tactical with using a bow railing or something. I found. This product works exactly as I needed it to when using a 36ft vessel with my mate where seeing a buoy/ mooring was challenging. However, at least once I hooked the top of a public mooring and REALLY struggled to unhook it on departure. Be aware of this and carefully learn what you should hook and not - this will include the typical very thick mooring ropes. That said, when a situation presents itself where achieving a secure attachment is your primary concern, this is an ideal tool for the job. This works a treat for our main mooring, which makes mooring with 2 or even 1 person very quick and reassuring.

Anfang 2020 gekauft und im Urlaub ergiebig getestet. Einfach Klasse, massive Ausfertigung, erleichtert das Festmachen, Fangen der Boje bzw. Mooring. Kein teurer Schnick-Schnack wie die vielen auf dem Markt befindlichen Fangsysteme, einfach auf den Bootshaken aufstecken und los gehts.Bin total begeistert, im Urlaub 2020 wurden wir von vielen bestaunt. Ganz klare Empfehlung. Nachtrag 2021: Immer noch ein Eyecatcher beim Anlegen. Auch in diesem Jahr Staunen beim Anlegen am Mooring. Werde immer wieder gefragt was das ist. Nach kurzer Erklärung ist das Interesse bei 100 %. Einfach nur TOP das Teil 👉🏻👍🏻
