Es el que llevo de serie, un par de ochos también en el arnés, pero el bloqueo y las posibilidades de cambio de nivel de frenada en pleno descenso aunque sea volado, es una maravilla

I'm of the Old School, where a cheap Figure 8 descender was all I ever used. However, after I used the Kong Oka, I wondered why it took so damned long for me to evolve out of the Paleolithic Era of climbing! Leave it to the Italians to come up with not only a beautiful aesthetic design, but a device that actually works extremely well. The Kong Oka is a variable friction rappelling device that allows you to change your rate of descent on the fly, and you can lock it out securely even if you rappel with an auto block or third hand. This device comes supplied with two rubber grommets intended for use with a specifically shaped carabiner to prevent the Oka from rotating during use. You don't necessarily have to purchase the Kong-recommended carabiner as long as the one you install has a round profile (I used a Rock Exotica Pirate Auto-Lock). It handles a variety of rope diameters very well, and will definitely impress you with its performance.

I've been canyoning with the Oka for 2 years, so that is how long my first one lasted. The Oka is easy and nice to use, easy to block off and release, and friction changes are easy enough. The downsides for me come from the little rubber, which I think they may have changed in the new version(?), and the bottom left tiny arm, which in my opinion could be a bit bigger or have a small hook on it to stop the rope from slipping out behind it. It has happened to me very often that taking off your safety line (and briefly deloading the Oka) results in the first friction level on that lower left arm just sliding off, leaving you going down with no friction. All in all it is good though, does its job.
