I love the rotary bits. The burrs fill with debris but it keeps cutting and you can "clean" it with a blowtorch at the end, as recommended. The rasp is the same but there's a lot more to torch here. I would prefer a regular rasp that doesn't get packed so easily and is easier to clear.Plus, I'm would appreciate a better handle made from wood, not just a rubbery plastic sleeve slipped over the end of the bar.

Until recently, I only had cheap rasps and files, I never used the rasps, and only used the file when there was really no alternative. This one is fun to use, I find myself grabbing this instead of an electric multi tool when I need to adjust a cut that wasn't straight enough, or round down an edge. It's fun to use, easy to clean, I love it!

Great rasp overall. I really like the carbide idea and the price point is awesome. My one complaint is that two spots of carbide were noticeably taller than all the rest resulting in two definitive scratches being left with every pass. The solution was to take a diamond sharpening stone and carefully grind those two grains of carbide down to be flush with the rest. Not a huge deal, but without this the tool is unusable for work.

I got tired of my old Nicholson 4in1, it served me well for years, until I realized that I was merely tolerating it. There must be something better. The Kutzall is it. Initially I was looking at patternmaker rasps but those were twice the price. This thing looked like it would be a good alternative and it is, aggressive cut but smooth finish for a rasp. It's also longer than a 4in1 and easier to use. I think I will get the coarser one to go with it.
