This is a lovely little wine stopper.It comes in a little black drawstring pouch and a nice weight.The stopper is durable and the dog is adorable.We have used this on several wine bottles and it does its job.

I ordered this for the Dachshund, I don't have one but I like them!I wasn't sure how good it would be in person, but it's lovely. I ordered the silver version, which has a pewter or gunmetal look, it's darker than silver, which I really like. He has a lot of detail too with a stippled effect which gives it that traditional look. It came in a small brushed microfiber bag, so it would make a nice gift, though I ordered it for myself, so I can use that for something else!It's heavy and fits flush in a screw-top wine bottle, it looks good that way, as shown in my pictures. It still seals, it's sized to fit standard screw and cork-necked bottles, good.It looks and feels better than expected, so its price seems fair. I can't think of anything to complain about. For me, it's a treat and a bit of glamour, but it would certainly make a nice gift for a sausage dog enthusiast.

Most people I know would have no use for this because once a bottle of wine is opened it gets emptied, but I can only handle once glass at a time these days and if open a bottle of wine it will take me at least three days to get through it so I need to be able to seal the bottle up and this does the job perfectly well, and looks a lot better than having the cork rammed back in the bottle.The quality of the little labrador is way better than the price would suggest.

The Dachshund Wine Bottle Stopper is, for me at least, going to be first and foremost an airtight wine bottle stopper. I was therefore pleased to see that it seems reasonably well made in that respect. Of course it is cute to look at, but if the stopper was ineffective at reducing wine oxidation or helping to keep the fizz in sparkling wines then it would simply be a sweet ornament.The stopper does work well, and the seal is airtight, though other similar stoppers I have have firmer and deeper rubber seals. Whether this will affect its useful life I am unsure. Currently it is ok and the pliability makes for easy entry and extraction from the bottle neck.The stopper is generally well made and attractive, and this is what one is paying for as equivalent stoppers, working on the same principle can be purchased for far less. Even with the current 15% voucher making the final cost around £11.00 this is the case. This stopper also comes with a small velvety bag so I guess gifting might be appropriate. My main criticism of the aesthetics are that the dachshund itself, unlike its base, is a little over varnished. This doesn’t show up too well in the attached image but I think less shine would look better.So in summary, I don’t think it is wonderful but it is reasonably well made and undoubtedly cute to look at. I will give it a perhaps over generous 4 star rating.
