A sturdy and weighted magnetic base with screw for attaching the antenna, which does extend upwards and tilt through 90 degrees. The cable length is pretty decent, so has some flexibility of placement for best reception. Comes with a trio of adapters for the f-type male plug to male/female coax and 3.5mm.I used this with a RTL-SDR dongle, for which you need a f-type to sma adapter. FM radio reception was pretty average and obviously varies according to orientation and position, while DAB fared a little better, but still not brilliant. Though it did do a reasonable job at ADS-B reception, at least for aircraft on the side of the house that this was placed. But for a price of £18.99 when reviewing, this could be better, unless you happen to receive a strong signal from your favourite radio station.

I ordered this to use with my small Roberts DAB Revival Petite which I listen to daily when working at the computer. The radio came with a short piece of wire as an antenna, but on DAB it barely reaches 1 signal bar and often loses the station being so close to my computer monitor. I therefore decided to give this Maswell antenna a go as it comes with a 3.5mm plug adapter.The antenna features a solid magnetic base and a telescopic tilting and swivelling aerial which screws into the top. The base has a very generous 3m of thin flexible cable, the aerial can be extended to about 80cm. The cable is terminated in a F-type male connector (think Satellite dish) but 3 adapters are included for 3.5mm, UHF PAL male and female (old-school UK TV aerials). The adapters simply screw on to the F-type connector.Whilst I didn't need to utilise the magnetic mount, it's quite strong and would be ideal for mounting on a car roof or suitable ground-plane metal plate. For now I've stood the antenna in the corner of my window sill and the improvement to DAB signal reception on my Revival Petite is night and day. I'm now able to get a full signal with no drop outs, even with the radio next to the computer monitor. I'm also looking forward to using this with my shortwave multiband radio.In summary a very well made compact external antenna that definitely helps to improve reception and has a generous length of cable.UPDATE: Whilst this antenna made some improvement to the small Roberts radio, I have since discovered the radio uses the outer sheath of the 3.5mm plug for its antenna (normally ground). For that reason I have made a simple adaptor to ensure the centre core of the antenna plug now connects to the outer sheath (ring or ground) part of a 3.5mm stereo plug. This has significantly improved results on weak stations with this radio and I'm getting full signal strength across all DAB!
