I bought this for my Home Theater PC. The PC has a Ryzen 5 4500 CPU with 16G DDR4 RAM on a GigiByte B550 MB running Win 11. Local A/V content comes from a USB drive connected to my router. The PC is on a 1GB LAN line. This is a fairly inexpensive PC to build (less than $500 in spring of 2024).The original video card had a fan on it (can't remember the model) that eventually started making noise. The machine is on 24/7.When you don't need a high-performance card for gaming, a card like this fits the bill nicely. It handles 4K resolution, requires no additional power connections, is dead silent, no lights, and not power hungry. And it plays well with downstream HDMI gear.The output of this card feeds a Denon 7.2 AVR that drives either a large display or a projector.I play most of my local files with VLC. I get full uncompressed 7.1 audio and 4K video out of the card. Streaming is mostly via web browser or PLEX. No sound/video sync issues. The card will decode multi-channel or send the data native and let the Denon decode (preferred).In short, for me this has been a great video card for a HT PC. I hope it will be reliable and last multiple years.

Inlcuye dos pletinas para el formato ATX (ancho) y para el formato SFF (Small form Factor), también llamado «low profile».Esto está bien, pero la pletina corta (SFF) solo tiene espacio para la salida HDMI y DVI, por lo que hay que dejar colgando el conector flexible VGA dentro de la caja del ordenador o comprar una pletina adicional.Si ya no usas el conector VGA, considerado obsoleto, no es ningún problema.Otra cuestión a tener en cuenta es que aunque solo ocupa una ranura, el disipador (radiador) tapa parte del conector adyacente que pueda haber en la placa base. Normalmente un PCIE 1X.Hay que tenerlo en cuenta si tienes el slot adyacente ocupado con alguna otra tarjeta adicional.En cuanto a la compatibilidad, es compatible con Linux. En mi caso comprobado con el kernel 6.8.0 y en particular con Ubuntu Studio 24.04, basado en el entorno de escritorio KDE Plasma 5.27.Al conectar funciona en modo compatibilidad con driver genérico y rendimiento muy bajo. Como sucede con Windows si no instalas el driver del fabricante.En el repositorio «restricted» de Ubuntu está disponible el driver privativo de nVidia. Se instala sin complicaciones ni necesidad de la «línea de comandos».Soporta hasta la última versión disponible de OpenGL, la 4.6.El programa de diseño 3D Blender, versión 4.0.2 funciona perfectamente y fluido, al menos en resolución 1920×1080.No he probado juegos, pero para renderizado 3D, edición de video e imaen funciona excelentemente para su categoría y precio.Sobre Windows no puedo decir nada, pues no lo he probado con el que para muchos es el «único sistema operativo que existe».Espero esta reseña sea útil para la gente que usa Linux.

Lieferung erfolgte pünktlich.Einbau anfangs etwas irritierend, da das Slotblech verbogen war.Nach dem geradebiegen passte die Karte wie vorgesehen und tut seitdem ihren Dienst.Ich nutze sie für Office mit 2 Monitoren.
