These are good filters for most photographers and videographers to gain an extra method of controlling the exposure in their shots. 4, 5, 6, and 10 stop filters will cover just about any bright light situation you have be int long exposure waterfalls or just trying to open your aperture more on a sunny day. These filters have a thin profile making them easier to use multiples or in combination with other filters without introducing a vignette, the threading is smooth but may have a shorter life if dropped than some other materials used on more expensive filters. These filters do have a slight color shift towards the blue/green that is not consistent across the set but very easily adjusted for in your editing software. The case is nothing special but a nice convenience as with the lens pen like cleaning tool included.

I just upgraded my camera/lens which means new filters. These fit the bill...when you need a ND filter they are great to have on hand and this is a nice set of them. The lens cleaning pen is a great addition which I'll use in my overall kit.

Neewer has really become one of those brands over the years that conveys a level of trust. You can generally expect a solid experience at the right price, similar to another popular brand of chargers and battery accessories. No exception here. This is a great kit at a great price. It's a very useful set of four common strength ND filters that comes in a nice storage case with a Velcro flap. Glass is perfect, density effect is clear and consistent across the frame, and there's no noticeable softness introduced in the image. Filter ring is all metal with that normal black powder-coat finish that is standard on these kinds of filters. The extra included cleaning pen and microfiber cloth are certainly nice extras — and honestly, a shout-out to the packaging. The retail box has a nice metallic sheen that just gives you a few extra endorphin points when unboxing.

This is a set of inexpensive neutral density filters. While photographers use these filters to slow down exposures to get, say gossamer waterfalls, these filters are really important to me as a videographer. In order to preserve a filmic look, videographers have to regularly shoot at 1/50 or 1/60 of a second. If you want to control depth of field you have to use ISO to adjust your exposure, unless you use filters. Dedicated movie cameras usually include built in filters, but hybrid cameras like my Nikon Z8 often have to rely on ND filters to control the light. The filters in this kit are in the most useful range of 4, 5, 6 and 10 stops.I tested these filters using a constant light source and varying the ISO and shutter speed. The ND 32 was close to the 5 stops density but the ND 16, 64 and 1000 all let in a little more than 1/3 stop of extra light. The ND 16, 32, and 64 all demonstrated small color shifts that I could live with but the ND 1000 had a significant shift to the blue.If you are willing to accept these deficiencies, these filters will be OK, and if you do any extensive color correction work, you probably may not notice problems with any one of them but the ND 1000. On the other hand, if you are demanding of precision you will want to look at some more expensive filters that have better quality control. You may also want to consider a variable neutral density filter.

A simple and convenient budget filter kit. Comes with a small microsuede and cheap lens cleaning pen - I somewhat wish the filter 'wallet' had a spot for this pen, but that's a really minor quibble. However, on that note, the wallet will likely only fit the included four filters, and no more, so if you're looking to carry these in combination with other lens modifiers, you'll either have to carry multiple holders, or want to find something more versatile. The lenses appear to be mineral glass wrapped in aluminum rings - not particularly fancy, but an acceptable minimum in my opinion. Just be careful not to cross-thread when installing them. Otherwise, all filters in my kit seem well-machined and evenly anodized.I think the filters might leave a very slight green cast, more noticeable with the higher ND values, but they appear to be very uniform across the entire lens, without much additional distortion. Should be a fairly easy fix in post.Overall, I think this is a solid entry point for a set of basic and affordable ND filters, and would be happy to suggest them as a gift for a budding film student, whether for cinematography or long still exposures.
