Sounds great on paper, and yes, the rubber is legit. However, after just a couple of outings, the velcro strap started to come apart. This makes it difficult to thread through and attach when you put the glove on. Leave it threaded through and slip your hand in, you say? I wish, but the velcro strap is too short. When I finally get this thing on, there is only about 0.5" of strap left to attach to the body of the glove. If only the strap were a bit longer, this could all be alleviated. Before you ask... yes, it is sized appropriately. I ordered M, L, and XL, picked the one that fit, and sent the others back. Oh well.

I've used several others, all are better than my tape gloves. These give super protection... I love em.
