The medium ruler is missing the two smallest needle gauge holes, 2.25 mm and 2 mm. It doesn't matter to me, I didn't buy the ruler for that purpose. The small and large don't have any defects.The rulers come with a protection film that you have to peel off. It looks like they are printed on the wrong side because of how opaque the protection film is. I have to admit that I was a bit confused until I realized I needed to remove it.I'm happy with this purchase.

The printing on the large template is blurred and makes it difficult to use on its own.
