Lo compré por las buenas críticas y porque tengo un par de prismáticos de esta misma marca, concretamente el Opticron MCF 8x24 de hace más de 30 años que es uno de los mejores prismáticos compactos tipo porro que jamás se han fabricado ( compitiendo con los Leica's, Zeiss's y Swarovski's de su rango) y que comparando la visión con este nuevo Opticron no hay color. Estos nuevos se nota que son de fabricación China barata y los míos eran Made in Japan de mucha mayor calidad tanto en la construcción como en la óptica.Si bien en cuanto al brillo de las imágenes que proporciona es remarcable falla en la nitidez de las mismas. Le falta nitidez incluso en el centro de la imagen y no digamos sobre todo cuando te vas alejando del centro de la misma que rápidamente se vuelve borrosa y con deformidades hasta los bordes. Además produce artefactos cuando le entra luz parásita notable sobre todo cuando se ve el cielo por las noches. Hay mejores y por menos precio como los Tasco Offshore 8x25, también Waterproff, que han sido todo un descubrimiento para mi, muy recomendables si te sale bueno... porque ya sabemos como funcionan los controles de calidad chinos.

Ho ordinato questo binocolo per regalarlo ad un amico. Al primo sguardo ho dovuto constatare, con sorpresa, che la qualità era largamente insufficiente, nemmeno lontanamente paragonabile a quella di un altro prodotto della stessa fascia di prezzo che possiedo. Messo immediatamente in restituzione.

This is a review of the binoculars (not the monocular with the same model number). I bought the binocs to replace an old pair of Pentax 8x24 reverse-porros. Since I wear glasses, I was very concerned with the eye-relief of any potential replacement. These Opticron binocs have an eye-relief of 17mm, which is pretty good (even 1mm makes a difference; 16 is what I consider bare-minimum, with 18-19 being perfect for me). It is hard to find very small binocs with a good eye-relief, so this was a big incentive to buy these. Plus, the close focus of 5 feet is excellent for this price-point.Like another reviewer, I had previously bought a much more expensive pair of Opticron Explorer WA ED-R 8x32 binocs and really like them, so that influenced me to buy this even smaller T4-Trailfinder model. I am pleasantly surprised that this cheaper model can come so close in performance to the larger, more deluxe model - bright (for 25mm) and sharp, with smooth and reliable focusing. There is essentially nothing I can fault them on. Opticron equipment is proving to be excellent and I am liking both models very much.Plus, I can report that Opticron support is excellent too. When I received my T4-Trailfinders, they did not come with the strap that they should have. I reported this on the Opticron website's contact form and received a nice strap about a week later.

Only just received these but th seem excellent. Will be taking them out on my next walk. For the low price they offered me the maximum Interpupillary Distance that I could find so I am expecting them to be comfortable to use. As a bonus, a rainguard is included as well as lens covers !

Maravillosos, sinceramente por este precio no me esperaba esta nitidez y contraste, son tan buenos que he devuelto los vanguard que compré y me haré con este en el formato 10x42 más adelante.Muy buenos buen contraste buena definición y no aprecio reflejos al mirar frente al sol.Excelente marca.Si llevais gafas tranquilos van bien tienen 16mm de relieve ocular.Cómodos para mi gracias al gran relieve ocular que tienen.
