"Making the ordinary extraordinary" should be this company's motto. While it does not rank up there with the discovery of insulin or antibiotics, nonetheless this example of creative reengineering of what one would think is a product incapable of major improvement proves the danger in following intuitive assumptions. This product brings a moment of joy because of its efficiency and effectiveness every time I use it and I feel thankful that these folks took the time to thoroughly understand the job at hand and provide a tool that exquisitely achieves the function.Every company seems to market itself as being ergonomic, environmentally friendly, breakthrough, cutting-edge and a laundry list of superlative adjectives such that we can become jaded and cynical about the marketing hype bearing little relationship to the product delivered.How refreshing it is to find a product that is extremely well designed for the task, a quality and thickness of stainless such that it will last forever, the addition of serrated teeth such that a twisting action makes it easily go through even the most crisp apple, easy to grip, easy to clean, and sturdy as hell. What more could you ask for?On top of that this company's marketing and follow-up is beyond anything I've ever encountered elsewhere. A simple and inexpensive item that has been creatively redesigned and manufactured to be superb is also backed up by marketing follow-up better than you get with items that cost thousands of dollars..The obvious advantage of companies that are not publicly traded managed by hired career managers who come and go is obvious. As a private business these folks identify with their products and genuinely care as the products are in effect their baby and their personal reputation and pride and integrity is associated with the total experience they deliver to the customer Such is the advantage of privately held firms that rarely occurs in large corporations and multinationals.Don't waste your time looking at any other manufacturers offering. I would stake my reputation and my integrity in backing this product as superb as it is the marketing follow-up
