When this arrived and I installed it in my camera (Sony RX1-IV), it kept telling me that there was insufficient battery, and then powered off. It was a fully charged power bank with Power Delivery. After a number of failed attempt with the same result, I was about to send it back.I then tried for one last time, and suddenly it worked. After fiddling around a bit, I realised that the order of connecting this is important and may be due to some quirck in the power delivery.It works if you plug the cable into the battery pack, and then plug the dummy battery into the camera. It does not deliver enough power if you plug the dummy battery in first, and then the cable into the power bank.Other than that works fine. One plus is the cable is flexible enough to close the battery door properly, unlike other dummy batteries.

Bought for a Sony alpha rii but when connected to a 5v power bank via USB it failed to uprate the voltage to 8.4v as required by the camera, Useless for what we wanted. Had to buy more expensive neewer model which does work.

The dummy battery fits the Sony ZVE 10 but doesn’t power it. I recommend an external battery pack with a camera or tripod attachment.

A great solution for longer shoots. Paired with an appropriately sized power bank, this can provide power for a much longer period (hours) than if you were using NP-FW50 batteries. No worries about having to swap batteries to keep things moving, hence no need to stop your recording. I did not experience an error message when inserted into the ZV-E10 body. Highly recommended as an alternate power source for your SONY camera.
