The Miata takes M12×1.5 - 25 acorn nuts. The shortest one I could find in stainless are these 35-millimeter-long acorn nuts (Fig. 6).What’s nice is they have 19 mm hex vs. the standard 21 mm; impact sockets in 21 can scuff up the lug nut pockets on the Miata’s aluminum wheel. Shown in Fig. 1 are the stock lug nuts.I removed the OEM lugs nuts with a 21 mm impact socket (Fig. 2).Then I spun on these S.S. lug nuts with a 19 mm deep socket on a breaker bar (Fig. 3). If you do them one at a time, there is no need to jack up the car. Just remove, install, and torque, one by one.I lubricate my lug nuts with a few drops of regular 10W-30 to ensure consistency and avoid corrosion on the carbon-steel lugs (not shown). Then I torqued them on (Fig. 4), which requires a 10% reduction in the specified torque; that’s 70 ft-lbs vs 77 for my Miata.Though these lug nuts are taller than the stock ones (and heavier), they look nice (Fig. 5) and obviously won’t rust.The provided 19 mm socket fit them all very consistently and tightly because they are made VERY precisely to 18.89 ±0.01 mm, which is ideal for a precision-fit lug nut (Fig. 7).

Im so glad i found these, my OEM lug nuts kept rusting even after buying a new set from the dealership, and now i have these and they are perfect on my car!!!!!
