I love the quality and durability of this backpack. It holds all my camera gear and I love how you can move around the dividers as needed. The back panel zipper is convenient. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is up to par.

Excellent pack, fits a sony mirrorless body with my 150-500 Tamron (hood on) or Sony 100-400mm lens (hood and TC on) with tripod collars in place, as well as some small accessories including a waterproof cover, spare cards and batteries. Would also take a smaller lens in the pack body.Fits a macbook in the laptop pocket and the front pocket storage is enough for a jacket (rain or puffy). Has a rain cover included which has been useful in this rainy July 2023.Comfortable for carrying. Feels very robust. Like the top zip cover for keeping the main part of the pack clean and dry.I've tried a few packs now and so many of them fail to allow a tripod collar to be left as is which is really annoying. This is the keeper.One reviewer here stated his gear fell out of the lid due to the difficult closure so he left the lid open. Firstly the closure is not hard to operate. Secondly there is a separate zip around section which seals the top of the pack, under the lid. That flap tucks into a pocket when not in use and I'd suggest that reviewer has not found it. So we have to conclude user error. Pays to really examine gear when you have purchased it.

I researched bags extensively before deciding on the Think Tank Retrospective 15L Backpack. Just received it, and haven’t had a chance to take it out yet, but am very impressed. I plan to use it a lot in the SW US deserts and its’ weatherproofed heavy canvas material and “pinestone” light green color are very suited to that environment. The construction, stitching, zippers, etc. seem first-rate! I can access my camera with long lens attached from the top , or access all of the main storage area from the back of the bag. Lots of padded velcro dividers are provided allowing one to customize the main storage area. Additionally the bag will stand on its’ own. Lots more good stuff to say about this tough, very well made and designed bag. Extremely pleased !!

Uso da molti anni una Retrospective a spalla che rimane la mia favorita. Mi sono convinto a prendere la versione zaino per quando so che dovrò camminare molto.Certo il prezzo è notevole, ma la qualità Think Tank è indiscutibile e si ripaga nel tempo.Interno modulare e varie tasche facilitano l'ordine e la distribuzione dei pesi.L'accesso dall'alto mi sembra un po' impegnativo, ma io uso una full-frame gripped (Nikon D5): sicuramente un corpo non-gripped si estrae più facilmente. Detto questo mi sembra un'ottima scelta per brevi escursioni, a patto di non avere l'esigenza di accedere velocemente all'attrezzatura: in quel caso la borsa a spalla è insuperabile.
