Simple, easy to clean, sturdy stainless steel sprouting container. Best used with larger seeds. No issues with broccoli seeds falling through, but you may encounter some problems with alfalfa or smaller seeds. The stacked design makes rinsing and draining simple. I think they're a little bit expensive for what you get, but the plastic versions are often transparent and harder to clean. Overall would still recommend for anyone growing their own microgreens.

I usually use a mason jar with a sprouting lid to sprout my seeds in. This works better than my jars. It comes with a tray to soak seeds and to catch drainage water. It comes with 2 mesh trays for sprouting the soaked seeds on. I like that I can rinse the seeds right on the tray and they will dry without staying too moist.I started broccoli sprouts and in 5 days I had edible sprouts. This is a great value for a stainless steel sprouting kit.

My first impression of this seed sprouting kit was that the trays looked too small. However, after using them, I realized they’re actually the perfect size for sprouting without taking up too much space. They work well, and the encrypted mesh makes rinsing and draining easy. The only real downside is that the set comes with just one bottom tray. This means you can’t fully separate microgreens into two growing batches without some improvisation, what a shame! If they included an extra bottom tray, this kit would be perfect. Still, it’s a solid sprouting setup for small-scale growing

It’s stainless steel and has a compartment at the bottom to soak the seeds. I used lentils and they germinated pretty fast, basically after soaking. It only has one bottom bowl so if you use both mesh baskets, you will need another bowl for the second tray for water once the roots form. They were nice at first, but they don’t have long edges to carry and I flipped them over a couple of times trying to fill up the water or to move them around which was frustrating.

I have seen a friend use this type of sprouting set and I always really liked it for a few reasons. I like that it has no plastic involved and that it is easy to stack and put away when not in use. I also like that it looks simple and minimal on the counter and how you can rotate the trays depending on which one is sprouting and which one is not. I love sprouts year round but especially in the winter and this makes it easy to grow multiple varieties and enough for a larger group.
