I ordered this sweater on a whim for my 75 year old husband who looks 55. He has never worn a cardigan sweater, and when he opened the Amazon envelope, he said this is a "Mr. Rogers sweater, and it is VERY WHITE."I paired it with a navy and white medium check shirt the first time he 'reluctantly' wore it The dark navy color made that white sweater 'pop'! He had first put on a muted green check shirt, but when I showed him how much better the dark navy and white color looked, he took the shirt off he had first put on!He wore it on Sunday, and a man he did not know stopped him and said, "I like that white sweater."That reinforced his confidence about wearing it. Actually, he seems quite 'in love' with the sweater now, and I expect him to frequently wear it when we go shopping, and to games and church.My husband wears size large shirts. I took a chance and ordered an XL sweater. I am so glad I did. It is not too tight around his 'Christmas middle' and it is comfortable buttoned and unbuttoned. (I must confess that I like the feel of the yarn when I hug him.)It is a classic sweater. The cable knit looks pricey, the shawl collar is great for keeping his neck warm, and it is just a great sweater all around for comfort, looks, and affordability. The colors the sweater comes in are all beautiful. I love all of these colors. (The green would be my second choice.)Any of these colors would make my husband look even more handsome. I am trying very hard not to order another sweater for him right now, but it is very hard not to!

I ordered this Cardigan Sweater in dark gray, and I am very happy with it! The cable knit pattern and shawl collar give it a classic, refined look that works well for both casual and semi-formal occasions. The fabric is soft yet durable, offering just the right amount of warmth without feeling bulky. The dark gray color is versatile and goes well with almost everything in my wardrobe, from jeans to dress slacks.It is not itchy as many sweaters, especially some wool sweaters, making it comfortable with short sleeves of collarless shirts. It is advertised as “relaxed fit” and it is, however, a bit too relaxed for my taste as I prefer so shape even in sweaters. It is very warm but breaths and, as you would expect, requires and under or over garment if it is chilly-windy. The open neck and shawl collar is fashionable with a shirt and tie or more casual settings such a “business casual” events. The size is true to US sizes. I am average sized, and I find the sleeves a bit long but work well if over a long-sleeved shirt. Just from the feel and a couple of wearings, I am a little concerned that the shape will continue to “relax” after a few washings and lose its shape entirely however, that is just an assumption on my part at this point.Very nice sweater at a very nice price, four (4) stars for me.
