I ordered this because the listing stated that it was a fit for the Hayward s44t2 sand filter. We have the s44t, which I assumed to be the same, as I could not find anything online to tell me otherwise. And although the shape is different from our original, I thought the diameter would be the same, but it is not. So that's my error, but a good warning for others -- make sure it will fit your model. As for the cap itself, it's good quality. Thick plastic and a substantial inner rubber gasket. Feels sturdy. However, even if it did fit our application, at the price point, I would not at all consider this a good value for the money.
