With an amusement park trip looming and a massive storm in the forecast, we needed a reliable way to keep our son's feet dry. Changing our plans wasn't an option, so we had to prepare for the rain as best as possible. After researching online, I found that many hikers and trail runners either waterproof their shoes completely or use waterproof socks with well-draining shoes. Waterproof shoes seemed either too expensive or too uncomfortable for a day of walking, so we decided to try Sealskinz waterproof socks based on their high recommendations.These socks paired with my son's regular sneakers which had good drainage were a perfect solution. We spent about 12 hours walking through heavy rain and numerous puddles at the amusement park. By the end of the day, my son's feet were completely dry, which was impressive given the conditions. The Sealskinz socks are comfortable, fit well, and didn’t cause any blisters or discomfort, even after a full day of use. There was no moisture buildup inside the socks, and they provided excellent waterproofing without compromising breathability.The socks were easy to put on and didn’t feel bulky inside his shoes. They also provided an extra layer of warmth, which was a bonus on a chilly, rainy day. My son was able to enjoy all the rides and activities without worrying about wet feet or discomfort. These socks were lightweight and flexible, making them ideal for an active day at the park.Sealskinz waterproof socks exceeded our expectations, keeping my son's feet dry and comfortable during a stormy day at the amusement park. Pas étanche du tout. Je les ai achetés parce que les bottes ne sont pas imperméables. Je suis sorti dans l'herbe mouillée - bottes mouillées, Sealskinz mouillé, chaussettes mouillées, pieds mouillés ! Pas bon!Est-ce qu'ils ont une garantie (12 mois) ? Au moment de la rédaction, ils ont moins de 12 mois.

Ich verwende die Socken für den Laufsport mit 3 x Laufen in der Woche a 5 km auf All Terrain Untergrund mit Wasser, Schlamm, Wind, Schnee usw. je nach Witterung. Laufschuhe mit und ohne Gore Tex.Positiv:-fühlen sich in der Hand etwas seltsam an, aber an den Füßen ein sehr gute Tragegefühl-Größe M passt perfekt bei meiner Schuhgröße 42 - 42 3/4-sind wie beschrieben Wasser- und Winddicht.-Einsatz bis jetzt bis ca. - 4° C auch hier ein gutes Gefühl-trocknen sehr schnell nach einem Regenlauf und ähnlichem-im Bereich der Füße/Schuhe bis jetzt nach ca. 150 km kein Verschleiß zu erkennenleider gibt es auch etwas negatives, was bei mir wohl kein Einzelfall ist und auch schon mit Bildern dargestellt wurde.Negativ:-nach nicht mal drei Monaten, hat sich die Saumnaht an einer Socke, oben an der Wade, komplett gelöst und das Innenteil mit dem Silikonrand bleibt nicht mehr dort wo es sein soll.Habe mir im Januar weitere Socken bestellt (vor dem aufgehen der Saumnaht) die ich in Gebrauch habe, hoffe das hier das Problem nicht auch noch auftritt.weiteres positives:-Rücknahme der Socken (Verkauf erfolgte über Amazon) und Ersatzlieferung ohne wenn und aber.Sollte das mit der Saumnaht ein Einzelfall gewesen sein, werde ich die Rezension überarbeiten, da der Rest einfach Top ist und die Socken wirklich zu empfehlen sind was die Eigenschaften sind.

Aufgrund von Testberichten hatte ich mich für diese wasserdichte Socken entschieden. Ich habe sie in Kombination mit warmen Socken und meinen Sommer-Klickpedalschuhen getragen und muss sagen, die Passform ist gut und die Socken sind zu 100% wasserdicht.Allerdings hat sich die Saumnaht nach ein paar mal tragen angefangen aufzulösen. Dadurch liegt der Silikonrand nicht mehr sauber am Bein auf und das an-/ausziehen der Socken gestaltet sich umständlich.Daher muss ich sie auch leider wieder zurück senden.

It’s Sealskinz... need i say more!Okay, i do:Work in a trail run so water well over the top of the socks a few times but that water lock kept a large amount out.Comfy, good water resistance, good cooling and just good all round

First ImpressionTested it, and I got my feet wet, I filled a bucket of water and dumped my feet in. Immediately I started to get water in from the upper part of the socks. Sock was submerged not completely to the top where the water could break in through Hydrastop barrier.Im disappointed as I was sharing my new purchase with friends, but had totally failed.This socks are splashproff at the very Most, no way it can be labled 100% waterproof.Important edit:After the first day I was inspecting my socks, and I realized that there is top part of socks without the membrane, so I did another test.And yes 95% off the socks where the membrane Is, is 100% waterproof, but underneath the top band (lettering) there is a seam strip that doesnt have a membrane and is is leaking still. I also tested that pouring water from the top still causes the water getting in the socks.Overall I think that product is good, just needs to have product description note regarding upper part of the sock.
