I was under the impression I could use this still with 1 to 5 gallon nursery Pots bit sadly I mocked one up and the paper towels I had in them didn't wick any water up . So for my use these don't work. If you use felt Pots these will work it looks , but hard plastic is a no. I'm going to see if I can modify these with a double sized wick that I can insert into the drain holes on my nursery Pots so I can use these . For plants that need alot of water or are fast drinker this is very handy.

These self-watering trays are intended for fabric pots and come with a little absorption pad and wicks. They seem durable enough to withstand repeated use.

These pots and planters are advertised as for the indoors but they are better for the outdoors due to the mess with the draining water. The material of the fabric pots are durable, and the bottoms are moveable so that there is a convenience to using these planters.

These self-watering pot bases have worked very well with three gallon grow bags. I have not tried them with five gallon grow bags, yet, but will by summertime. In the meantime, my transplants are hardening off in three gallon bags in the shade and are drinking up all the water they need with these pot bases. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

They are made well and I am going to grow tomatoes in bags this summer . I have never used anything like this before however it sounds great and I can't imagine them not working well . It is common sense and I will update this summer . My daughter grows veggies in bags , so I am trying this also and these sound foolproof.
