Good solid mount. It’s something that won’t bend under normal use. Silicone padding for the speaker is a nice touch. It helps to give a little ‘grab’ to the base of the speaker. Though the base of the 1st GEN HomePod is different from GEN 2, this mount holds either speaker perfectly well.Couple smaller things to note. There’s about a 1” gap between the back of the speaker and my wall. While sitting flush to the wall is nicer for appearance, the HomePod performs/sounds better when it’s about 6” from the wall. So would’ve been nice if the gap was a bit wider. Also, the cord management hole near the back of the mount does not fit either the GEN 1 or GEN 2 HomePod cords. The plugs are simply too big for the hole. And even though the GEN 2 HomePod plug can be removed, it’s 1” radius is still too wide to fish through the slot. Bummer.Overall, I like the simplicity of the mount. And it’s built well. If you’re using it for a speaker smaller than the HomePod (like an Echo or HomePod Mini), it’ll look oversized but it’ll work. If you’re looking specifically for the full-sized HomePod, it’s just decent.
