Premetto che non ho ancora acquistato la levigatrice rotorbitale che ho da tempo in “wish-list” e, per le mie limitate necessità di hobbista, continuo ad arrangiarmi da sempre con un normalissimo trapano elettrico accessoriato con due diversi platorelli, uno con vite di blocco assiale (che usa altro genere di dischi abrasivi) e l’altro con velcro. Proprio con quest’ultimo ho avuto occasione di utilizzare, appena arrivate, queste spugne abrasive dotate appunto di velcro sulla faccia posteriore.Il due principali motivi che mi hanno spinto ad ordinare questo prodotto sono stati in primo luogo l’ampio assortimento di grane del kit “Mix” (non disponevo di nessuna delle 4 grane più fini) e poi, ovviamente, la caratteristica forse più peculiare: la loro lavabilità e conseguente riutilizzabilità.Ma non appena ho iniziato ad utilizzare le due grane più grosse (180 e 320) per la finitura di una mensola in legno su cui stavo lavorando, mi sono reso conto che c’è un altro grosso vantaggio che non avevo previsto: lavorando con trapano e platorello piuttosto che con strumenti più specifici, non è facile riuscire ad ottenere una superficie ben uniforme perchè, impugnando un trapano, basta poco per variare inavvertitamente la pressione o l’angolo del platorello, lasciando così dei segni visibili. Con questi “Shineboc”, invece, la spessa e morbida spugna interposta tra carta vetrata e velcro, assorbe almeno in parte le imprecisioni di una mano poco esperta, limitandone fortemente le conseguenze negative.Non ho ancora avuto occasione di testare su metallo le grane più fini, ma ritengo che anche lì i benefici possano essere i medesimi, anche se la loro minor aggressività tende comunque a “perdonare” molto di più rispetto alle grane più grosse che, specie su legno, richiedono maggior attenzione.A questo punto esprimo quello che per me è l’unico “contro” di questo prodotto: l’indisponibilità di una grana ancora più grossa, diciamo una 100, che mi sarebbe stata utile nella prima fase della levigatura (che ho effettuato con dischi di normale carta vetrata). Pur di avere la “100”, avrei volentieri rinunciato ad uno degli step intermedi previsti per le grane più fini, diciamo il “2500”.Per il resto non ho nulla di cui lamentarmi: prodotto valido e davvero utile, almeno per un hobbista di limitate capacità ed attrezzatura, quale sono.

Son unas esponjas de lija de buena calidad,tienen velcro para usarlas con una lijadora o a mano,si se lavan se pueden reutilizar,viene un mix de varios granos,las recomiendo.

Utiliser pour poncer un evier en résine. Les différents grain redonne une nouvelle vie à ce genre d evier qui avec le temps se coloré et marque des mini éclats qui ont disparus après...

It was really impressed with these sanding pads, they were really well. Having the edition of sponge, gives you a lot of versatility while going into grooves and looks and crannies. The quality looks to be really good, and they can be even used with a sanding machine, or by hand. These can be reused over again, and really do the job very well.

I make shoes and leather goods and use these to roughen up the leather for glueing. I photographed an insole I roughened up because I was sticking another insole on top with my label on it...More commonly, I use them to sand leather for glueing prior to sewing through the layers. I often need to use them dry, so the ability to wash them out and unblock the abrasive helps them last longer.So far, I've been using them as a flexible sanding pad without a tool or block, the cushioning of the foam helps prevent more damage to my hands, which is a big issue with shoe-making. I might try them out with a 125mm sanding block for shoe finishing next...I ordered the assorted pack as a starter, going forward, the coarser 180 grit is best suited to my work. They're not cheap, but they're reliable, and I have used the same pads many times over, so they pay for themselves over time.
