So this chain does do what it's supposed to do but it feels very cheaply made. I suppose you get what you pay for but this thing is cheaper than I expected. I feel like the finish will wear out quickly.

It’s a nice accessory for a costume. I used it for a Gomez Addams outfit and it worked really well. The finish on it appears very consistent and the chain felt sturdy.

The chain itself is cheaply made but it doesn’t seem cheap enough to break super easily, it just won’t last long term. The look of the pocket watch overall was very nice and aesthetically pleasing, so it was worth the money in that aspect!

First, the chain comes packaged in a clear hard side plastic box which can come in handy for storage when It isn’t attached to a watch. The chains and other materials are solid and robust. I mean, I wouldn’t expect it to hold any real weight, it's not designed to, but I think it will hold up to the wear and tear of daily use.The chain I have been using on my favorite watch is the one that it came with and looks kind of crappy, so I was more than ready for an upgrade. This chain totally fits the bill. It has a T-bar which easily slides into a button hole past the button instead of a clip which forces you to take the button out.Next, the double chain arrangement from the button to the watch harkens back to an age when this was the only way to tell the time. It combines class and nostalgia in a very fashionable way.Finally, the exclamation point to the whole look, and the center of the show, is the living tree dongle who's sole purpose is to make the point that this is not just a lanyard or method for removing your watch from the pocket, but a classy center piece of the waistcoat as a whole. This chain really does put the finishing touch on either a period outfit or a contemporary ensemble.All-in-all, I really love this watch chain.

IT works great for a costume jewelry piece, but I would like for this watch chain to be an inch or so longer. Additionally, the gold doesn't quite look right close up. It looks fine from a distance, but questionable close up.
