I just recently started using vinyl records and I was shocked at the amount of static involved. They pulled dog hair from across the room and I had nothing great to clean it off with. This has solved that issue. It is very easy to use and gets rid of the hair and the static. Easy 5 star from me.

So, I'm a vinyl record enthusiast. Grew up with them, got away from them for many years due to the convenience of digital music, and now back into it for the past 3+ years. Not only do I love the sound of vinyl (on a good stereo system, with a good turntable/cartridge, etc.) but also love restoring vintage turntables. Yes, with a decent size vinyl record collection, having more than one turntable is a "must" (says the electronics geek). I have both new and older vinyl records in my collection and keep them clean. Each time I play a record, I like do do a "spin brush clean" before the needles sets down; i.e., once the record spins, run a brush across the record from the center out to remove any dust particles that may be statically clinging to the record; this cuts down on the unwanted "snap, crackle, pop".In comes this brush. I have been using a different type of brush that, while wider, has shorter bristles. I'm always careful not to press down too much on the brush while running it across the spinning record, in order not to impede the record's rotation and not to inadvertently damage the turntable's motor. So, when I saw this brush, I decided to give it a try and, guess what? I really like it better than the other style brush (of which I own two). The longer bristles of this brush act like a "buffer" for the amount of force being transmitted to the spinning record. It is simply easier (need to put less thought into not pressing down too much) to run this brush across the already spinning record. The result is good; the static dust is removed and the process feels more natural end effortless since I don't feel like I'm gong to slow down the spinning platter by using this brush. Not saying my old brush (wider with shorter bristles) did not work; it's just that this style with longer bristles not only works but takes the guess work out of it as to how much to press down or not; the longer bristles work and feel more natural in terms of regulating the pressure applied to the spinning record. Once you actually use this brush, you will totally get what I'm trying to convey here by using so much of Webster's dictionary :-) So, if you are a vinyl enthusiast like I am and love the sound of a clean, static free, record then this brush is a must. Even if you already have one of those shorter bristled ones, I would say give this one a try. You won't be disappointed, Highly recommended A+++++
