I had a warning display on the centre console saying "Engine fault, repair engine" or similar. When i scanned it, the error came back that the low speed cooling fan had a fault to ground. I did 2 active tests on the low and high speed fan, high worked, but low didnt. When i took the old unit off, it was heavily corroded so I thought i would try one of these because it was next day and very cheap. Happy to say it worked straight away, both high and low tests worked. It was quite easy to change. Disconnect the under tray if you have one, pull the plastic flap forward on the bottom of the bumper, use a long reach flat head screwdriver to pop the cover off the module from below, then use a long reach torq screwdriver to release the one screw that hold it in place, you can do this through the front grill. Reach up and disconnect the two plugs, swap the unit and put it back together in reverse order. Done 👍

BRILLIANT Fixed fault code P0493 / limp mode on my Citroen berlingo, fault code related to the cars cooling system and stopped air con working also and car went in to limp mode, had to take bottom grill insert off, (YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE BUMPER ON THE BERLINGO TO CHANGE THIS) to fit it and with in an hour my berlingo was up and running again. code cleared & errors are gone, cars driving great & its out of limp mode and air con is working even better weirdly but considering the state of the old one im not surprised, I think id consider this a milage/ 4 yearly service part from now on. our berlingo van is 11 years old with 115000 miles on the clock.

Had an issue with a Peugeot 108 with error code P0494 Slow Fan Speed. Investigation found the radiator cooling fan was not running at all at its slow speed. It was running OK in high speed mode. The speed is controlled by this resistor and relay assembly. Replacing the assembly fixed the error code and the fan now runs in both low and high speed modes. The part received has the same moulding as the original and fitted with no issues. The two connectors are the same and again no issues when reconnecting the 2 plugs. The part looks well made, almost identical to the original. Have only just fitted the part so have no idea on its lifetime.

This was cheap, easy to fit to my Citroen C1 mk2 1.2 petrol. Fixed the engine light issue (diagnosed using a topdon reader). Installed, cleared DTC’s. Re scan afterwards and no codes or errors. Aircon now works a treat and blows strongly.
