Bought to diffuse the light above a tank of millipedes, the light fitted is a little bit intense directly underneath, so these work well to soften and spread that light to create more of a glowing ceiling of light. As an added bonus they also help maintain the humidity.They're stiff enough not to be flimsy, but not so thick that they become cumbersome.

Good quality filter paper, nice size and easy to cut to size to fit lights, gives off a nice red colour

Worked on my lamp that was showing too much light through the filigree design but, the sheets aren’t long enough to make the job of attaching easy by having one continuous sheet for the whole lamp rather than two stuck together with matching colour vinyl tape.
