Works fine with index shifting on the 2006-ish model 105 rear derailleur (medium cage, I'm guessing) that came stock on my Giant OCR1. Took some minor tweaking of the adjustment screws but now shifts smoothly. My front is a 50/39/30 triple. Chain take up is not an issue, but I wouldn't do the 50-32 combo anyway. I lost the 50-11 top gear, but 50-12 will give 36 mph at 110 bpm, which is more than plenty fast for me. Nice and easy upgrade for a casual rider who wants to do some mountain riding. It replaced an 11-28T Shimano cassette and took all of 5 minutes to swap out, so you could easily have different cassettes depending on the riding you plan to do. You will want the special tool for the lock nut.

die Ritzel sind in einwandfreiem Zustand - die Qualität ist echt super. Aber ich hatte nicht 12-36 sondern 11-32 bestellt. Es spielt in meinem speziellen Fall keine Rolle, jedoch würde ich es bei einem bestehenden und sich bewerten System wieder zurück senden.

Gleich vorweg: Die SRAM Kassette ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Ihre Qualiät kann nur mit 5 Sternen bewertet werden. Allerdings müsste man dazu die passende Kassette erhalten. So wie es hier bereits der Kund "David" geschrieben hat, wurde auch mir statt der bestellten Kassette mit der Abstufung 11-32 Zähne, eine Kassette mit der Abstufung 12-36 zugesandt. Kann ja passieren. Ich habe die Sendung reklamiert, noch einmal eine 11-32 Kassette bestellt und das sogar in der Rücksendung handschriftlich als "Absicherung" vermerkt. Jetzt wurde mir eine Kassette mit 11-23 Zähnen zugesandt. Tut mir leid. Das ist dann doch zuviel des Guten. Ich habe die Bestellung storniert und werde die Kassette bei einem anderen Anbieter kaufen. Schade.

Let me add my experience to others who are considering adding a lower gear to their road bike. I have a specialized secteur elite with all tiagra components. RD is 4600 (short cage) paired with a 10 speed 12-30 shimano cassette. I wanted a lower gear and got the SRAM 12-32. Just needed to screw in the "B" screw so the cage would clear the larger 32T and checked the chain length. Largest to largest combination was tight but acceptable without having to add a link. The lower-lowest combination was also OK but marginal and there's the rub in trying to go to a 34. MIGHT be able to squeeze it on but you'd need a larger chain for sure and then in the lowest-lowest combo the short cage RD would be rubbing so you'd need a long cage version.If you're looking for a little more power on the hill with min fuss go with the SRAM 12-32. Shifted better than the stock Shimano!

The 12-25 SRAM PG1070 cassette is the best value for your SRAM road groupset - Rival, Force, or Red. Yes, there are cheaper. Yes, there are lighter. This one is the best use of your money if you want a very good cassette for a reasonable price. Shifting is smooth and consistent. I got about 8,500 miles out of my last one.The 12-25 gearing will give you good enough gearing for rolling hills and decent top speed for the flats but not the best for either. It's right in the middle of those ranges, so an 11-28 would be better for big mountains and 11-23 for fast flats with little climbing.
