I was DIY mounting a couple of security cameras which needed drilling into Cotswold stone. The issue was one of the “wandering bit“ - which meant my first attempt was less than precise, making for a not so great job. I read up on how to drill with precision in brickwork and decided to give this method of a centre punch a go.This is not a tool that most occasional DIYers would even think about adding to the toolbox, and that is partly why I decided to share my experience to add to the other 5-star reviews.To bring this little anecdote to closure, it worked very well and gave me the courage to undo my previous work and redo it properly. A precision punch, pilot drill and main drill bit combination made for perfect installation.I should perhaps add that I did do a little bit of sanding of the brick with a multi-tool to make the mounting location modestly flat, but ultimately the precision drilling and fitting was down to the start with this tool.Very happy with this tool.
