I bought this cable to connect my Surface Book 1 (1st Generation) to my DEll S2340T monitor. It arrived, I plugged one end into my Surface Book and the other end into my monitor... and nothing!!! :( Oh dear!!! :( To save electricity, I turned my monitor and Surface Book off and went to get something to eat. I came back, turned everything on and hey presto!!!!! Everything was working perfectly. I now had two screens, the one on my Surface book and the one on my monitor. I was puzzled, why had it not worked first time? I did a little research and found out that the monitor had to be restarted, so turning it off, getting something to eat and then turning it back on... did the trick!!! I have had the cable less than 24 hours but it has been used for at least 8 hours and it works perfectly, the 'picture' I get on my monitor screen is exactly the same quality as when I have my Dell XPS plugged into it... there are no problems what so ever. I will almost certainly link my Surface Book to my second Dell S2340T monitor and once again I will buy and use a StarTech.com 6ft (2m) VESA Certified Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable - 8K 60Hz HBR3 HDR. I recommend this cable without reservation. For me, a perfect cable in every respect, music, speech, pictures/photos, text and documents.Please note, since I was connecting my Surface Book via a Mini Display Port to my monitor's Diplay Port, I had to change the input from HDMI (which I use for my XPS) to Display Port.15 January 2025: I have subsequently purchased a second StarTech.com 6ft (2m) VESA Certified Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable - 8K 60Hz HBR3 HDR, that is how strongly I recommend this cable. It is outstanding.

Il cavo è ben fatto.Il collegamento DP però ha dei momenti di disconnessione video se si orienta il monitor o si toccano i cavi.

Had issues with other cables on Amazon even Vesa certified ones, flickering and black screens on my Samsung OLED G8 on a Mac Pro 2019 with a Radeon Pro W6600. Once I received this cable all those issues went away and then some, no sluggish performance either with my productivity apps. Pay the extra money for quality cables it’s worth the investment!

My Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 finally works with 4k resolution without any visual glitches, shutoffs or other annoyances! Definitely worth it to spend a little extra.Cable was surprisingly thin and compact also love the connection mechanism which doesn't allow for connection to slip!
