It’s a Meadows row tool for small to average-sized hands.Handle is great for doing Meadows rows. Not sure it can be used for anything else, but Meadows rows are a valuable exercise. The handle eliminates grip failure being the limiting factor when lifting.I actually stopped using the handle due to long arms and large hands, but for most lifters who can’t grab the entire thick end of the barbell, this handle makes the Meadows row more achievable and productive.

In short, it feels sturdy, I went for this one as it had the extra support at the angle - which in retrospect is probably overkill as I'm not lifting hundreds of pounds with it, but I’d rather it be over- vs under- built. I had paint chip off the front of the ‘tube’ part within the first month. Main and biggest issue though is the rubber handle slides/spins. I took it off and tried using some super glue, which helped for a short period, but then started again. It's hard to coat it in glue and then slide the rubber back on as it's tight, so I gave up on that idea. At this point, I’ve just stopped using the handle all together. .(This part is related to why I bought it and not factoring into my rating of the quality).I bought this initially for using on a bar in a landmine to allow me to do heavier shrugs (as I haven't invested in 60lb+ dumbbells yet). The main issue I had with this idea is that the landmine is attached to my power rack at floor level, so when you pick up the bar, it's already at 45 degrees, then you shrug, and it's at an even greater angle. Which isn't great form or conducive to allowing you to do a heavy shrug. I did try putting one end of the bar up on the safeties so I was starting at 90 degrees. This worked better (other then the handle slipping in my grip), but it's a lot more work to get set up.You also have to consider the size of the plates you're putting in front of the handle so they don't hit your body. You can however use an Olympic collar behind the handle and it stays on fine (can add one between plates and handles to give you space as well).I then bought a DIY dumbbell barbell which wasn't quite working for various reasons. After all that, I found it was just easier to use my EZ Curl bar to do shrugs with. The curves let you easily balance your hand in the middle, and the plates are far enough away to not hit your body.Since then I also got a cable machine which can also work for a shrugs. So you can take my objective experience and journey with this, with a grain of salt.. but the handle feels solid, but paint chipped pretty quickly (not a big deal other then aesthetics), and the rubber grip moving drove me nuts / made it next to impossible to use when you needed a really firm grip for something heavier.

I've been using a landmine attachment for years, but this "handle" opens up for a whole array of rowing- and calve-exercises. Should have bought it years ago. Extremely simple, well made and full value for money.
