First off, this kite is so cute! The colors are vibrant, the eyeballs on the kite are adorable, not to mention the long, colorful tentacles (or jellyfish legs, as my niece was calling it lol) It's a great size so once it's in the air, it's still highliy visible and fun to watch :) It really looks like a squid, but to the kids, it was all kinds of sea creatures (mostly jellyfish lol)There's a lot of string which can be good or bad lol It was great because you could really give it some height, but we are by no means professional kite flyers, so be careful if you let too much string out -- if the wind dies down a bit, it gives too much slack to quickly and the kite can lose altitude quickly...plus can be hard to wind back in easily (especially if the kids are at the helm >The only thing, like many other things in life that we buy lol, is the storage. It comes pretty stuffed in the bag you get it in, so there's no way it will go in looking like it came out. It fit back in there, but we had to roll some parts up and shove some thigs in lol. Hopefully it doesn't end up creasing the beautiful head part of the kite >Overall, as a spectator, I loved this kite. Came with all the bits for a nice day in the park. Just know that clean up takes a little time with this one >

I'm an oceanic researcher, so I always enjoy finding ocean themed things for my kids. These were no exception. We took them to the beach on a windy day and while they did take awhile to get airborne, once they did, they worked great and went high. We played with them for several hours before winding them back in. While we could have used them again, we made such a mess of the string and some of the "tentacles" came off, so we ended up just trashing them. No complaints though, as that was more our fault for how we handled them and how insanely windy it was. They do look cool flying with all the tentacles waving. Kids had a blast. Good old fashioned fun for not much $.
