They work well, you need to be aware of which hand to buy, but I guess that if you are buying rising butt's you are probably in the trade.Seems a little expensive for what they are.

I would have expected 100 mm hinges to be made of slightly thicker metal. The screws provided are very short. These hinges are definitely not suitable for a door with any weight about it.

Some reviewers have questioned whether these are left or right handed - I checked the photos and they came as expected. These are Chinese made/packaged and sadly not the best of quality with a handful of niggles:For some inexplicable reason, instead of the pins inside the shafts being lubricated with a decent grease, they were very stiff because there was adhesive inside. This makes no sense to me as we want to door to be as free as possible to close smoothly. I did my best to remove that sticky stuff and then gave them a squirt with lubricant which did the trick. They now open & close smoothly. It should come as no surprise already that the screws supplied were too short and of poor quality so I needed to replace them - I simply used the ones out of the existing hinges that these replaced. The screw holes on both leaves sadly line up with each other, so having replaced the screws they were 'head to head' which as they were a bit larger, protruded and almost touch each other. Had I used screws with larger heads, they would have jammed onto each other causing the door to not close. The other downside of the screw hole alignment meant I had to drill two new sets of holes into the door.I also noticed that one hinge did not sit fully on the pin so the leaves were not aligned. Swapping the bits around gave me two hinges that aligned up properly on closing.Having swapped the hinges from plain to rising, I found the pin length to be generous, but too long for me to fit both parts onto the door & frame and drop the door onto the pins as my door is in a reveal. I had to line up the door on wedges then slide the pins in, then screw the second leaf of the hinge in place. The other thing to watch out for is the rise on the hinges. My door was snugly fitting at the bottom, and less so at the top. For some odd reason, despite fitting the replacement hinges in the same place on the door & frame, it scraped a little on the bottom. On lifting the door a tiny bit so that it was clear at the bottom meant that it touched at the top on the hinge side as it closed. After a fair bit of jiggery pokery, adjusting the height of the door by about 1.5-2mm, packing the bottom hinge out a little, and a little surgery right at the edge of the door, the door finally closed just as it should. Now I just need to touch up the paint on that edge of the door that I had to trim (with a Stanley knife) and the bit of the frame that was crushed before I trimmed the door and everyone is happy. Well the cat isn't happy as the door is a bit heavy and the rising hinges makes it more difficult for her to open - that and she needs to go through it and not loiter unless she want a crushed tail. All in all, not the best quality and overly fiddly to swap over. They did however work OK in the end, but not the simple replacement for the old hinges that I had hoped. Sadly my local DIY stores didn't have any rising hinges at a reasonable price so I ended up with these. Knowing what I know now, I would rather pay twice as much for better hinges that line up properly.

These are right-handed hinges, as can be confirmed by comparing the product photo with other right-handed hinges shown on the Amazon UK website. The hinges themselves appear to be of good quality, but it was annoying to discover the error at the start of a job.
