TAMIYA Philippines Incorporated – die Produktionsanlage
Vor über 15 Jahren legte TAMIYA auf den Philippinen den Grundstein zu einer hochmodernen Produktionsanlage, die Maßstäbe setzt. Auf aktuell vier Hektar Fläche werden die TAMIYA-Modelle hergestellt. Hier arbeiten hochqualifizierte Mitarbeiter in den Bereichen Produktentwicklung, 3D-Modellage, Formenbau, Fertigung und Qualitätskontrolle. Hinzu kommt eine eigene Druckerei für alle TAMIYA-Verpackungen, Bauanleitungen und andere Drucksachen. Aufgrund der kompletten, eigenen Produktion ist TAMIYA in der Lage, Produkte auf höchstem Qualitätsniveau zu produzieren.

But...I have build a lot of tanks over the years...mostly Tamiya. But this....is freaking perfect..awesome molding. Everything so far has fit nice and crisp and tight.Not an overly popular tank...but the thing has great detail. I'm not sure what I am going to about painting it. It gives the patterns in the back. That goofy stripe one...and 3 others camo. Ones that where sent to North Africa were painted desert yellow.I just don't want to loose some of the nice detail to a dark paint with a dark wash. Mmmmmm What to do...what to do...Anyway....thumbs up kit....I am 55 and have been building these things obsessively for 25 years. I need help..!Later...Don't glue your fingers together...

A fantastic model from Tamiya. Easily built with no fit issues. The plastic is well moulded and this does not take much work to make a good model. You get a choice of main armament too represent different versions, but more importantly, you get the choice between rubber band tracks (for those who want an easy life) and link and length styrene tracks (for masochistic detail freaks). The crew figures are well sculpted and add value.The only downside I encountered was that for some reason, the decal sheet made for very thin, fragile decals that fell to bits if I even looked at them too hard. I have done several Tamiya models and never encountered this issue before, do I put this down to an individual manufacturing quality issue rather than a trend with the product.Overall, ignoring the decal issue, the product is worthy of five shiny stars.
