The filter didn't catch much dirt from the fish tank. Disappointed!

Lors de la réception du filtre nous avons eu la désagréable surprise de constater que la prise était US et non EU nous ne pouvons pas utiliser le filtre. Que faire ?

My old filter would block up very quickly within a week, not good. This new filter Tetra 1000 is great loads of power & you only clean the filter cartridges once a month. My 200 litre tank water is crystal clear for my fish. You can adjust the power to still water or turn it up to make a stream & my fish love that, they have loads of exercise. I'm very pleased with this filter it was worth every penny. You can get it on Amazon at a great price.

This is a very good filter and it does its job well, just not perfect which is why I've given it 4 stars.Firstly, it's not as quiet as you might expect. Yes, it's a powerful filter but my huge JBL canister filter is quieter. It's not too intrusive though, but don't expect to struggle to hear it.The filter media is also very limited. You have a choice of bio sponges or carbon sponges... That's it. Many competitors already make filters with different layers/compartments for whatever media you want.Ultimately, it's a good powerful filter. I use it more for flow at the far end of my tank, with the majority of the actual filtration being carried out by a JBL e1501 canister. If I wanted a stand alone internal filter then I might spend a bit more on something else but that's not to say this wouldn't do the job anyway.
