This little, inexpensive stylus for the wonderful Technics EPC-270C cartridge came to my attention via a review on the net, which compared it to the Swiss "nudeline“ (actually a bonded stylus, I believe) which is an excellent option for the EPC-270C, if you cannot or do not want to spend between or above 170 and 300 for the more refined styli (Japan made nude ellipticals, nude hyper ellipticals, JICO SAS on boron cantilever etc), which take the EPC-270C I and II to another HIFI level. To be frank, I did not expect much from this little blue one against the green, Swiss Nudeline. It is true that this little stylus will not provide as clean a background (pops and clicks a little bit more noticeable on used and well played records) as more expensive styli, but it does hold its own remarkably well against much costlier elliptical styli. I compared it in particular against a NOS vintage Technics bonded EPS-270 ED (street price 80 EURO) and a .5mil, nude, Daitokyo Hoseki Japanese stylus. The Daitokyo Hoseki is my top reference. Its street price may be 80 to 130 EUR. I do not yet own the costlier, JICO SAS and other options. My impression is that the Nudeline is a little bit more punchy; on the other hand the sound reproduction is a little bit "darker" with the Nudeline than the blue one. I do appreciate the clean sound coming from the blue and after a few hours of listening I am convinced that it is entirely worth keeping in the rotation, switching from time to time with the costlier green ones (Swiss-made or Japanese options). This modest bonded stylus is refined in its own way. Do not take anything I said against it (its clarity of reproduction is a very nice feature). One thing to note: I have three EPC-270C cartridges. Two plastic-body, standard EPC-270Cs (the I and the II), and one "modded" EPC-270C, which has a metal casing and to my ears is more refined compared to the plastic bodies. The blue stylus I received does not fit without forcing it into the EPC-270C (plastic body). I therefore cannot use it with that one. It fits like a glove, however, in the modded EPC-270C (metal body) and the EPC-270C-II (plastic body). Perhaps this is just an issue with the blue stylus I received and not the case for all of them. You provably won‘t have the same issue. I might get a few more to have on stock. This is how much I like it.

Diamant au top, monté sur la cellule EPC-270C d'origine d'une Technics SL-3200 et la compatibilité est parfaite, c'est rentré au quart de milipoil ^^Son très bon à mon oreille, bien détaillé et basses bien rondes.Livraison propre et rapide
