Il n’hésite pas à vendre un produit au prix fort pour de la seconde main.À la réception, nous pouvons voir qu’il s’agit d’un paquet reconditionné. La boîte est abîmée, poussiéreuse et renforcée avec du scotch sur les côtés.Le produit semblait conforme jusqu’au montage où l’un des câbles tendeurs ne se tend pas suite à un mécanisme défectueux.J’ai retourné l’article.

The Thule OutWay Platform bicycle carrier is of top quality, as I have found with all the Thule products I’ve purchased. It’s something I appreciate of the company and keeps me returning as a customer when a need arrises.I chose the platform option as it leaves the license plate and tail lights visible. My vehicle doesn’t have a trailer hitch and I didn’t wish to install one, so I was left with a carrier that hangs on the back of the vehicle. I actually think I prefer the hanging options as they keep the weight a bit closer, as opposed to moving weight back hanging off the vehicle. This helps maintain the handling of a fully loaded vehicle. Most other hanging options, including those from Thule also cover the license plate and rear lights necessitating auxiliary lighting and if you don’t have a hitch you probably also lack power output for lighting, another reason to go for the platform. It is true the bicycles end up riding a bit high, but nothing to crazy. I like keeping the roof free for the cargo box, and I appreciate the ease of loading bicycles at the back as opposed to atop the vehicle.The unit installs easily and quickly according to instructions, and as I stated before everything seems to be of very good quality. I found in the case of our vehicle it wasn’t necessary to have the tailgate open, and in fact prevented the installation of the top hooks as the clearance became to close.A few things to note. On our vehicle with the unit fully tensioned the tailgate is bowed very slightly. The shape returns when the tension is removed and I don’t think it’s anything that will create any permanent issue, with the exception perhaps if you leave the unit installed regularly and operate the tailgate as the latch point receives extra load and I would imagine there is an increase of stress on the latching mechanism. In my case I just back the tension off a bit and then operate the tailgate. Not a big deal for me, you won’t be opening the tailgate with bikes loaded anyway.Another note would be the four hook points to the vehicle. While the unit has a rubberized coating on the hooks that contact the vehicle I preemptively installed some clear paint protection film, also available on Amazon, at those points. I can see where the hooks contact as the plastic is very slightly indented. If there’s enough force at those specific points to break the vehicle finish I can’t say, certainly depends also on the quality of the paint. They are very small areas, and certainly if you don’t care so much about such things, then no issue.The only other thing I’ve experienced is with bike and clamp placement. It does take a bit of playing to find what will work with your specific bikes as far as placement. Also I don’t recall seeing it mentioned, if you happen to be fixing to a wide section of frame place the clamp opening side up then with the wheels cinched down you pull the bike into the clamp, seems to work for me.A picture is worth a thousand words I’ll get some the next time I’ve got everything on the vehicle.

Pros: We tested it for a 300km ride and you don't even know the bikes are on the back, no disturbance to the rear view or parking sensors. The locks feel secure enough to leave the bikes in the parking lot at gas stops, for a longer stop we also locked the bikes to each other.Cons: On first installation, the written instructions are a bit confusing, the video they also provide was more helpful.There is some impact on fuel consumption, I am not sure if putting the bikes on the top of the car would be just the same.It looks very strange, on our car at least. Somehow it looks "legit" on the internet, but it feels strange in real traffic.I can't say anything about durability, as we just bought it. It seems sturdy enough, not too many pieces that can break.

Der Sitz und der daraus resultierende Halt des Trägers ist perfekt. Der voraussichtliche Lieferzeit wurde deutlich unterboten. Alles bestens.

Der Träger ließ sich super schnell und einfach an meinen Seat 6J montieren und sitzt auch sehr stabil. Der Träger wackelt nicht und hat kein Spiel. Die Fahrräder sind schnell und sicher befestigt, nach der ersten Montage hat man den Dreh innerhalb weniger Minuten raus. Einzige Nachteil ist mMn, dass man max. 30 kg Zuladung auf den Träger packen kann, für zwei E-Mountainbikes reicht die Traglast also nicht aus.

Dopo aver provato varie soluzioni, non avendo il gancio traino, mi sono deciso nonostante il prezzo elevato a comprare questo portabici che si aggancia al portello posteriore.Devo dire che per il momento sono davvero soddisfatto in tutto; il montaggio è molto semplice e una volta installato risulta davvero solido e sicuro.Ci porto una moutainbike da enduro da 16kg, si carica in 30 secondi e una volta assicurata rimane ben salda anche in autostrada, poi quando non utilizzato si richiude e occupa pochissimo spazio.Ero titubante perchè da indicazioni del produttore non sembrava compatibile con la mia vettura (una renault scenic), invece si adatta alla perfezione. Promosso a pieni voti.

La prima installazione mette tensione. Ma poi diventa una cosa semplicissima. Ti dimentichi delle bici. Poco rumore dovuto dal vento e solidità. Perfetto per due bici.
