A handy guide for the price. However the size & shape makes it a bit awkward to fit under a wheel arch. I believe it's maybe designed for use out with the arch. However, due to the angle you are then pushing the slide rule upwards. I bought two, one of which the slide rule is loose & slips in & out the frame, making a reading a bit problematic. I'm not sure of how accurate the device is but it gives you a rough guide of tread wear.

I was always told to use a coin! Older folks know what I'm talking about, lol.I ordered this to be more accurate now that I'm back on two wheels. It works great and is easy to see and use.

This is a great tool to help decide when to get new tires. I was suspect I needed one pair, and this confirms that one pair is good and the other needs replaced at the end of the summer. I'll be keeping this tool in my glovebox to allow me to check for the next time, too.
