This is a wonderful sturdy clip on rack that allows many options for securing your items to the back of a bike. I love that I can transfer the rack between my mountain and road bikes. It’s also nice that I can easily remove the rack and store it elsewhere when it’s not needed. Only issue I initially had was learning how to get my leg over the bike while carrying a bag on the rack!😂

Had to order this rack as I needed the tire clearance for the rear wheel. Very sturdy and easy to switch from one bike to another. The matching bag fits really well and can withstand lots of bumps on a long commute.

Lieferung sehr flott, Anbau ans Fahrrad sehr einfach - ich habe allerdings die Rändelschraube durch eine Imbusschraube ersetzt um leichtem Diebstahl vorzubeugen!Denke nun noch über einen austeckbaren Koffer nach...

Ich hatte anfangs den Typ E bestellt. Ich dachte mir das der am besten an mein Cube Ltd Pro 29" passt. Dem war leider nicht so. Rahmenhöhe ist bei mir 19".Ich habe daraufhin den Typ A bestellt. Der passt sehr gut. Es lässt sich sogar noch eine kleine 0,5l Satteltasche für Werkzeug unter dem Sattel befestigen.Qualität und Verarbeitung sind top. Alles ist sauber verarbeitet und passgenau.Ich nutze allerdings nicht das optionale MTX-Taschenset sondern lege einen Sw-Motech Drybag quer auf den Träger.Funktioniert optimal.Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Blitzschnell zu montieren, sitzt bombenfest, ist sehr leicht und praktisch. Hatte mir ein günstigeres Produkt überlegt, bin jetzt aber angesichts der sehr hohen und leichten Verarbeitungsqualität total froh, ein bisschen mehr ausgegeben zu haben.

Diesen Gepäckträger ist sehr gut von der Verarbeitung und von der Anwendung,wenn jedoch der Gepäckträger wie bei meinem Fully relativ weit oben montiert werden mußkommt man beim Treten schnell an die Befestigung, da diese sehr breit ausfällt.Manko ist halt das Gewicht von knapp 700 g, könnte also etwas leichter sein.Und aufpassen beim aufsteigen die Enden sind sehr scharfkantig habe mir gleich den Fußaufgerissen...

Trotz einer problematischen Montagesituation (an einer 31mm Sattelkerze mit sehr voluminösen Lepper Primus Sattel) passt alles wunderbar. Die Baulänge sorgt dafür, dass die MTX-Taschen hinter dem Sattel beginnen, denn unter dem Sattel ist wegen der beiden Zugfedern des Sattels kein Platz. Die Montage ist durch den Schnellspanner so, wie sie sein soll (schnell) und hält durch die mitgelieferten und speziell ausgeformten Gummipads bombenfest. Da wackelt nichts, da klappert nichts und die angegebenen 9 kg Traglast erscheinen mehr als glaubhaft. Preislich ist der Träger sicherlich kein Schnäppchen und die MTX-Taschen sind ja auch nicht für kleines Geld zu bekommen, aber bei der gebotenen Qualität geht das in Ordnung.Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

My bike will not accomodate a regular rack so my options are limited. Sure, I could rig something up with stay clamps, but when I don't need the rack it would be a pain to take off.This rack gets the job done, plus it's so easy to install/remove...quick release! The rack does have a tendancy to shift, but to alleviate this I recommend whipping off your seat post with alcohol to remove any grease/dirt to ensure a good seal, it will help cut down on lateral movement of the rack.If you're just using the trunk bag without panniers you don't have much to worry about if the rack shifts a little to one side or the other. If you're going to use the pannier bags you'll want to get the pannier adapter kit to keep the bags out of your spokes. This is when the rack shift can cause a problem and cause the pannier adapter to rub on your back wheel.I did a 332 mile ride in 5 days and only had to adjust the rack a few times because it shifted. I road in solid rain for two days and I think that helped the rack slide more so than it would have if I had been riding in dry conditions. I was able to nudge the rack back into position with my foot while riding so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if it were an option just for the fact that the rack is prone to shifting when fully loaded...but it is what it is. Just keep in mind to make sure your seat post is free of dust & grease and it should minimize any sideways movement.Updated: 6/17/15:I did another 372 mile bike trip...Same trip in reverse. I opted to go with another Topeak rack given the lateral movement I mentioned in my initial review. I've attached a pic with the QR Beam Rack MTX in the background.

The mount looks great and works great with the Topeak bags that are designed for it. I bought the side frames also because I got the EXP bag with panniers. The rack mounts pretty fast and easy to your seat post and the frame supports also go on pretty quick. I also put the MTX fender on, which I wasn't sure would go on with the pannier frame. It all integrates perfectly. I am going to post a picture soon. Make sure you put it on tight and realize it is really a commuter rack. If you are using it while hitting rough trails on a mountain bike expect it to shift around some if you have much loaded on it. As for frame selection I chose the A frame and it was an incorrect decision for me and so exchanged it for the V. I was afraid the V frame would sit too close to my tire with the fender on so I opted for a high set up. You should try to mount it low so as not to raise the center of gravity or battle the weight of the filled bag. The reason for the A frame is if your mounting it on a small bike with a low seat with little clearance from seat to tire. The equivalent of a BMX bike. The E frame should work for a lot to play it safe including road and mountain bikes. The V frame will work on quite a few as long as the tire isn't too big. I have a 26" mountain bike tire and it sits a few inches from the tire. Oh if you have a wedge under you seat you can probably keep it on but it is a tight fit. So far I love the look and other than one incident of it shifting have loved the performance.
