Einführung
De Havilland Canada entwickelte 1965 die DHC-6 Twin Otter. Konzipiert als robustes STOL-Pendlerflugzeug (Short Take-Off and Landing), beförderte die Twin Otter Passagiere und Fracht in raue Umgebungen wie in die eiskalte Antarktis und in die sengend heiße Wüste Nordafrikas. Viking Air Limited erwarb 2005 die Musterzulassungen für alle de Havilland-Flugzeuge, die nicht mehr hergestellt wurden, und kündigte zwei Jahre später die Viking Series 400 Twin Otter Produktion an. Bis Mitte 2015 etablierte Viking die Twin Otter als erfolgreiches Verkehrsflugzeug neu. Flies like a charm, so much power in it. No rudder only differential motor power instead of rudder which lets you make some tricks.

I've been flying regular non-UMX planes for a while now and this Twin Otter is my first UMX.It is lighter than a feather. The foam feels extremely delicate, so I'm glad I purchased the toy coverage for this model, in case it crashes.Flight time is generally good: over 5 minutes on a cheap "800 mAh" battery.This model, more than anything I've flown, is extremely pitch sensitive to power inputs. I have everything from flat-wing planes that don't have any power-pitch coupling, to the opposite end of the spectrum: this. The Twin Otter UMX has a huge tendency for nose-up pitch when adding power, no matter the trim settings or the CG (via battery placement).I thought I'd want to disable AS3X (which you can't seem to do without connecting to a computer, anyway), but I've come to the conclusion that this plane is so twitchy that it absolutely needs AS3X. Don't plan on flying in anything more than 5mph winds. Calm days are highly preferred.Overall, it's a very detailed model, looks good, is capable of some aerobatics, but from what I've seen from others' experiences, will not survive a crash.

I'v had 3 of these. All three have flown the same right out of the box. It's extremely stable and fly's great in wind with the AS3X on. Take off's and landings are uneventful and with the differential thrust turns and ground handling are spot on. Don't let the small size fool you. This is a great flying plane that is just as fun to fly as my larger Otter. Floats are a must and quick to change over to.

I had ordered this a few weeks ago but hadn't had the opportunity to fly until today. When doing a control surface check I noticed that the horizontal stabilizer was not secured into place. I could literally slide it in and out of where it was supposed to be attached. Had to order some glue to fix problem so I guess it will be a few more days before I fly this. Very disappointed this arrived this way, especially for the money it cost. I expected a way better product from Eflite, or at least expected I would get a fully assembled , ready to fly plane.

Received it in a timely manner it looks real nice sure do wish I could fly it but I received it and one of the motors the right motor doesn't work so I can't fly it pretty much cable art which really sucks I was looking forward to it but anyway bye at your own risk I guess maybe you'll get a good one
