I was really pissed off with my ellipse pro because it crashed my PC. Now I do not buy anymore Eaton products... too much trouble for the price.Anyway, surely my batteries had to be replaced ... they had more than 5 years of duty... but do not think that you will get a reminder from the UPS... nor that the UPS will check the health state of it's batteries.Regarding the replacement batteries, they were safely packaged in quite rigid and thick carton box and marked with red "fragile" tape.On the batteries itself there is not the plastic protective caps like on the original ones but that's not an issue since when in place the batteries cannot short-cut themselves they are reversed and there is a plastic "rail" in the ups preventing the batteries to colide.I will surely replace the batteries of my other UPSs with those ones.
