I have had the full set of Anmut plates and cups for about 5 years now, and they look almost as good as new after daily use and dish washing. The cups get a few streaks from spoon-stirring, but otherwise they look perfect. The only breakage has been from dropping them -- no chips are other wear and tear.For those of you buying the full set I should note that there are 2 types of cups available (I have the low, wide ones) and two types of bowls (I have the flat bowls, but there is a higher-walled bowl as well).For me it's an almost-perfect simple white set for daily use. If I can change two things -- I did initially find the flat-rimmed bowls more elegant than functional, but over time I've rarely ended up find them too small. In the same way, I found the tea cups a little too flat initially -- I don't know, somehow too dainty. But these are minor complaints.I bought these in the hope that these German-made plates and cups (by the way, still made there -- drove the factory by chance, when on holiday) would offer lasting quality and value and so far I haven't been disappointed.
