I'm very impressed with this hose reel. The casing is equally well if not better made than the well-known branded one it replaced and the hose feels particularly robust. Even after unfurling the whole 45 meters to water the back of my garden, there were no kinks or twists at all.The connectors aren't quite as sturdy feeling as the big branded ones, but they do work well. The hose gun is great too and about as good as you'll get with a plastic one. I do tend to prefer triggers to thumb controls but it's just a case of getting used to it. The spray patterns are useful and there are no leaks from the seals.The reel is heavy but fortunately, there's a robust bracket you can mount to your chosen surface; brick, in my case. The instructions are clear and you get a handy template you can use to drill in exactly the right place. The instructions suggest that you need a 12mm drill bit to accommodate the rawlplugs. I didn't have one to hand but used a 10mm masonry bit and routed out a 12mm hole. Once fitted, the bracket is rock solid.Whilst I like the fact that the reel can swivvel on the bracket, it could do with a locking mechanism as there's a risk that the reel will swing out during use and clonk into the side of the car parked in the garage alongside the reel. I'm currently figuring out a way to prevent this from happening.When you're finished with it, the auto rewind works very well but is rather fierce, so you do need a spare hand to guide the hose home in an orderly fashion.Overall, this is an excellent hose reel. The quality seems to be high and it works very well so I'd definitely recommend it.
