I have used tools like this leather punch before. This punch is easier to use because it has extra leverage compared to traditional punches. It's much easier to make the holes. I also like the plastic grips on the handles which make it easier to squeeze. This punch also has a lock that keeps the punch in the closed position so it takes up less room when you store it. The wheel with the punch posts moves easily and clicks into place and stays there.

I've done enough leatherworking to appreciate a tool that punches good holes and doesn't cost a fortune. This punch checks both boxes. And having six punches in one tool makes it easy to not lose any of them. My only criticism is that the handle lock doesn't work if a punch is centered over the anvil. Could just be the one I got. While the punch handle is quite sturdy, the tolerances a bit loose in places. You should also be aware that punching large holes in thicker leather takes lot of force. You can use this thing two-handed, but it's awkward. Good tool overall, though.

This belt puncher is an essential tool for anyone who loves belts! After buying unique belts in New York City's fashion districts, I lost 10-15 lbs and found my belts no longer fit. Instead of parting with them, I waited for the right tool—and this is it! Whether you're a fashionista or just someone with multiple belts (men included), this tool makes adding new holes easy and precise. It's much better than using a nail and hammer, especially on high-end belts. Now, my favorite belts are back in rotation. Highly recommend!

I really like the lever action. Nice design. Very sharp punches. Easy to use. This belt punch set is outstanding, offering heavy-duty performance with multiple hole sizes. It's perfect for leather work, including belts. An excellent value at this price.
