Exactly like the last one I bought thirty years ago, and easy to install and operate. I am very happy with the new charge controller and it apparently has a load controller feature too, impressive.

This model has been operating at our camp for 25 years. We live there 7 months of the year and this product has served us well.

Arrived promptly in good condition.Would not work on off-grid flat batteries.Worked once a fully charged battery was connected after which the remaining 3 batteries could be connected.Red led flashing in charge control mode, should be green! Needs led pulling out, turning 180 degrees and plugging back in. Does not affect charging just gives misleading colour.Connected to PV panels.

Great device. It's not state of the art right now, but after researching the MPPT controllers I learned that they really don't work unless your PV array is made of very well matched panels. My panels were all differing sizes, not at all matched so I went with this controller to replace the older one that was no longer adequate. Now my batteries reach float almost every day by 2 PM. I'm also looking into a water heater that can be used as a diversion load and this controller can be easily converted to work in that mode. Highly recommended.
