Great quality but didn’t work like I wanted. I was hoping I could use this on a bike that didn’t have a quick connect but unfortunately not.

Eigentlich alles o.k....A B E R ...Abbildung und Beschreibung stimmen mit der gelieferten Ware nur insoweit über ein, als dass es schwarze xlc-Schnellspanner sind, das Design ist aber ein ganz anderes. Hatte Wert auf die zylindrischen Gegenmuttern gelegt, die gab's nicht. Auch der geschwungene Verlauf der Spannhebel gefiel mir, gab's auch nicht. Einfache, schlichte Quick-Release von xlc dafür, besten Dank! Der Umtausch ist die Mühe nicht wert, also kommen sie an's Winterrad! Händlerkontakt ist nicht herzustellen. Händler nicht zu empfehlen!

Meh.. They are ok. Not great but OK. I purchased these because the price was right. They do the job most of the time. One major drawback is that they sometimes wiggle loose. I have to keep checking to make sure they are tight prior to every ride.

They seemed awesome. Fit like a charm, but I don't have much more I can say about them because the bike I installed them on got stolen less than a week after I installed them.Maybe they were just so awesome that someone stole the whole bike just to get their hands on them...If so, they're way better than I thought.

These skewers are sized for a standard mountain bike, a shorter one for the front and a wider one for the back wheel. They fit without any special adjustment. These skewers are all metal except for the plastic part below the lever. They seem well-built and sturdy. The springs are flat coil springs, so they compress flat as they tighten. I was very happy with the price and quality. It took about 5 minutes to replace the broken skewer.

These quick-release skewers feel solid and look sharp. I was unable to actually try them out, however, because after I took the tire off, I realized you need more than these skewers to take a non-quick release tire and turn it into a quick-release one. I thought this would be a really quick and cheap upgrade, but I had it totally wrong and would have needed all sorts of extra components--like a new axle--and tools to go along with these skewers (yeah I know, stop laughing, I'm handy at fixing things but I'm not a bike mechanic, ok?). The good news is that BikeZilla Bike Shop/Roy's Bike Shop fully refunded my return (minus the return shipping I had to pay since it was clearly my error), and I will absolutely be buying stuff from them in the future. Anyway, these quick release skewers appear to be perfect for someone who knows what they're doing and is willing to buy all the extra components/tools necessary to turn a normal bolt/nut secured tire into a quick-release one... OR someone who currently has quick release tires but the skewers broke or got stolen etc.I only gave it four stars because I was unable to actually test it out (my own fault) and because I would have liked to see somewhere in the description a brief note saying (what may be obvious to bike mechanics) that these will not turn a non-quick release tire into a quick release one by themselves. This is amazon.com after all not a bike parts online retailer. Some customers may actually be bike mechanics, but others are casual biking do-it-yourselfers like me, and I hope they add that little disclaimer to the description at some point.
