What I failed to spot before ordering was the fact that the breakout only has EIGHT pins, I was expecting TEN (9 + shield) ...Pin #5 (the missing pin) is used as Gnd on a standard RS232/(Null-)MoDem cable, so if you were hoping to use this cable to create a man-in-the-middle point, you're out of luck ...When it comes to retro joysticks/gamepads the pinout varies considerably ...Either way: buyer bewareAlso, who is buying a pair of DB9 breakout cables and does NOT already own a screwdriver? ...Please stop putting cheap screwdrivers in with every bit of kit I buy.

Attention, la broche 5 (GND) du DB9 ne possède pas de sortie !Pour une utilisation classique en RS232 (par exemple inversion TX/RX ou mode espion) pas de soucis, mais si on veut utiliser toutes les boches pour faire son propre montage le connecteur devient en fait un DB8.
