Having bought several items for a friend connected to Yoga and Pilates , i ended up buying 2 straps that are elasticated to fit over the ends of the mat,However i do not use mine for carrying a mat or even camping bed roll , i actually us this when i am out on walks and come across thick branches or tree limbs that are short enough and long enough to take home and cut up ( off family farm property ) as its elastic it fits over logs easy and the give on the shoulder part is soft and does not dig inthe sewing is strong, the elastic is not to stretchy but its wide .though i will say it had odd aroma about it at first
